What are cookies?
Cookies are text files that contain small amounts of information that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. The cookies are then sent back to the originating site on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises them.
Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise your device. They may be used to help understand how the site or service is used, allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, help remember your preferences and, in general, improve your browsing experience.
They can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by another party, such as an advertising network (third-party cookies).
Types of cookies
Technical cookies
This type of cookie allows the proper functioning of some sections of the website. They can be persistent or session cookies. Persistent cookies, once the browser is closed, are not destroyed but remain until a pre-set expiration date; session cookies are destroyed every time the browser is closed. These cookies, always sent from our domain, are necessary to display the site correctly and, in relation to the technical services offered, will therefore always be used and sent, unless the user modifies the settings in their browser.
Analytical cookies
Cookies in this category are used to collect information about the use of the site. This type of cookie collects anonymous data on user activity and how they arrived on the website. Analytical cookies are sent by the site itself or by third-party domains.
Third-party service analysis cookies
These cookies are used to collect information on the use of the website by users in an anonymous form, such as pages visited, time spent, origin of traffic, geographical origin, age, gender and interests for marketing purposes. They are sent by third-party domains external to the site.
Cookies to integrate third-party software products and functions
This type of cookie integrates functions developed by third parties within the pages of the website, such as icons and preferences expressed in social networks, in order to share content or for the use of third-party software services (such as map software). They are sent by third-party domains and partner sites.
Profiling cookies
These cookies are used to track the user's browsing on the web and create profiles on their tastes, habits, choices, etc. With these cookies, advertising messages can be transmitted to the user's terminal in line with the preferences already expressed when browsing online.
